RARE ANTIQUE SMITH & WESSON No 1 ½ Single Action Pocket Revolver with box
If you're looking for an exceptional addition to your Smith & Wesson or Top Break revolver collection, then this antique, rare Smith & Wesson .32 S&W Single Action Top Break Model 1 ½ revolver might just be what you're looking for. Made between 1878 and 1892, this revolver features a serial number of 65999 , indicating it was probably produced around 1888
With a small frame and auto-ejecting fluted cylinder, this revolver boasts a double top post barrel latch and a 3“ raised ribbed round barrel. A pinned half-moon front sight with fixed rear sight. The 5-shot .32 S&W short revolver has all serialized parts matching. Its barrel-to-frame fit is tight and the action functions very well mechanically with good timing and lock-up.
Condition: .32 S&W The 3“ ribbed barrel has a good bore lightly oxidized and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces still retain much of the original nickel finish with some minor scattered oxidized pin-prick pitting , edge wear and handling marks. All markings remain crisp and clear The the latch and trigger maintain very good original bluing. Still retaining nice case hardened colors on the hammer. The original S&W monogram black checkered hard rubber grips rate in very fine condition showing just some light wear. The serialized parts are all matching .Barrel to frame fit is is solid with good timing and lock-up. The original green paper covered box remains in good condition showing moderate discoloration , fraying and end flap wear. The number on the base is no longer legible and the correct end label is about 80% intact. A very good collector piece with original box
