Description:
Early First Model 20 inch barrel carbine configuration chambered in 44 WCF caliber. A dark fair bore with visible rifling. Original sights include a blade front and a flip up rear. Barrel and magazine tube are a plum/brown color. Legible barrel address. Receiver is a mottled gray. Saddle ring is present. Hammer and lever are also a gray patina. Replaced thumb print dust cover. Functioning action. Walnut stocks are heavily weathered with moderate cracks and chipping Still not a bad looking Winchester carbine. Factory letter shows that it was made in 1875. An early example 1873 carbine with that been there and done that look.
