#46058 Merkel/Krieghoff 2 barrel set 16/16 & 16/7x57R
Made by Merkel in August of 1957 as a 203E hand detach sidelock shotgun 16ga 2 3/4” 28” barrels ejector . The combo barrel 16/7x57R 24” extractor and set trigger were fitted and proofed in June of 1979 by Krieghoff in Ulm. It is fitted with claw mounts and a Zeiss 1.5-6x42 rail with a #4 duplex reticule. All bores and chambers are nice and shiny, they measure .667” with .027” full and .034” extra full on the shotgun and .667” and .030” (tight full ) on the combo.
As a shotgun it weighs 6Lbs.13 oz and 8Lbs.8 oz as a scoped rifle. LOP is 14 1/2” over a 1/2 pad, drop is 1 1/2” and 2 1/2” , cast off 3/16”.
Overall condition of the metal is 95% plus original condition with a couple light scratches in the blacking toward the muzzle of the shotgun tubes.
Wood and checkering are in 90% original condition with hunting marks typically seen on a gun that has been used hunting but not abused.
