SER #N22541, 303 British, 25‚‚ barrel with a very good bore with strong rifling. The rifle has been arsenal parkerized and shows silvering on the high edges and scattered spots of thinning on the receiver wrist band, and nosecap missing finish at the end of the barrel. The left side of the receiver is faintly marked ‚‚No4.MkI‚‚ The rear sight is missing as is the magazine. The nosecap and upper barrel band are both missing, and the bolt is serialized but mismatched lock up is good and tight. The rifle has a spike bayonet mount. The hardwood and beechwood stocks are cut to sporter size and are in fair condition with numerous small scratches, dings, and divots but has no significant damage, and is capped with stiff recoil pad.
A great starting project No.4 Mk I for the beginning collector for restoration to MIL Spec.
