Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company Advertising Broadside For The New Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistols
A Very Early & Very Scarce "Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company" Advertising Broadside For "The New Model Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistol", "Colt's new .22 Pistol. Seven Shot' And All "Four Caliber New Breech Loading Revolvers" In Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. It is marked "Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing" on the bottom. The "New Model Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistol" has a complete description of the pistol which includes loading, ejecting the cartridge, taking it apart, and the mechanics of it. It is also labeled in the broadside, "It Has Been Adopted By The War Department For The Cavalry Service Of the United States". All of the pistols in the advertisement have clear photos of them and are priced per piece. The Original Broadside measures 13 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches. There is a separation about 1/2 of the way down in the center where it was folded for many years. There are no pieces missing in it. This Is A Very Rare Example Of A "Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company" Advertising Broadside For "The New Model Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistol", "Colt's new .22 Pistol.
