Vintage 1990 before Remington fell on hard times quality and beauty; this heavy barreled Varmint model is in approx as new cond. These guns are a variaton of the Viet era snipers and cousins to full on target rifles; most shoot incredibly well. This gun and another we are listing (a 1982 VS in 22-250 also as new) could really not be much nicer. We have a number of excellent used scopes that would go nicely with these guns (inquire) mostly Leupolds but others as well.
Chambered in super capable 243; not only a terrific long range varmint cal but super for deer and antelope size animals if hunting from a stand as its too heave for most folks to be hiking over mountains with it. The heavier bullets from the 243 being more wind resistant than most traditional varmint cals.
