For consideration is a very nice Heckler & Koch model 940 semi auto hunting rifle in .30-06 caliber. The Heckler & Koch 940 is a super accurate German made hunting rifle. Importation of these rifles ceased 18 years ago and finding one in Excellent condition is becoming less common. The Model 940 has a robust roller-delayed semi-automatic similar to paramilitary rifles, but in a sporting stock. This particular rifle is in very good condition exhibiting light handling and use marks. The rifle has a scope base mounted to the top of the receiver and is ready for scope mounting. The barrel has a muzzle break incorported and the front sight is mounted to the break. Sling mounts are permanently installed front and rear. The butt pad is a recoil reducing type. The rear sight is a flip up/down type and that part of the receiver is starting to take on a bit of the plum look. This fine HK would make an excellent deer rifle for flat land or woods walking.
