A truly outstanding custom rifle built in the late 1960s by Paul Jaeger in Jenkintown,Pa. Built on a Sako L579 action,this rifle has a Douglas premium 26" barrel chambered in 243 Winchester. The floorplate,trigger guard,and grip cap were engraved with deep cut oak leaves and gold game scene in Germany by Claus Willig. Other features include a very highly figured European walnut stock with a slim beavertail forend,26 line wrap around checkering,engine turned bolt body,and Sako dovetailed 1" rings. The rifle is in mint condition retaining 100% finish. To duplicate this rifle today would cost well over $20K. A real piece of gunmakers art. C&R eligible. Price includes shipping to your FFL..
