Description:
JM Marlin 336 A chambered in 35 Remington. This Marlin was manufactured in 1960 - Aug 1961 with the serial number "U27026". Marking on the left side barrel are "The Marlin Firearms Co. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. – EST. 1870 / — MODEL 336 A – CAL .35 Remington — MICRO-GROOVE—". The right side of the barrel at the receiver is marked with a circled "JM" proof. The lower tang is marked with the serial number "U27026". The front sight is a brass-beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped riser that is screwed to the top of the barrel, missing the sight hood. The rear sight is a flip up U-notch with a white triangle that is dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled in four places for an optics rail. The left side of the receiver has two drilled, tapped for a side mounted sight. JM marked hammer spur attached to the hammer. The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a capped forearm and pistol grip, fluted with a cheek riser, sling loops front and rear, and a hard rubber Marlin buttplate. The Marlin bullseye is present in the belly. .35 Remington

Metal Condition: 97% - 98% remaining. Rust spot on top of the barrel with light finish thinning on a few edges.
Wood Condition: A few light marks on the stock and forearm with a crack in the wrist going from the tang to the grip cap.
