Description:
Reduced. This is a good condition example of the Springfield Model 1868 Trapdoor Rifle in .50-70. Lock dated 1863 and hinge dated 1870. This example was made late in this model right before the improved Model 1870. The barrel has a faded patina finish. The receiver has most of its original bluing. Chamber shows little wear and bore is excellent. Stock has the usual minor bumps and bruises typical in a 150 + year old rifle. Should be a very good shooter. $825 + Shipping.
