This Browning Belgium "Sweet Sixteen" " w/a 26 Inch Ventilated Rib w/**(Modified Choke) was
mfg abt 1953 (Ser # X 86XXX). It was an earlier resoration. It is an engraved Grade I w/the "Sweet Sixteen" over the silouette of "John Moses" . The guns bluing on the receiver is abt 98%, the barrel is abt 96%. (w/some faint spots).
The wood is a reddish medium grain walnut w/some darker tones of walnut.
The buttstock is abt 80%. The forearm the same. It cycles nomally and is set off w/a beautifull "Gold Trigger".
I would rate this as an "NRA Good" and should appeal to both the sportsman & entry level Browning Belgium collector.
These Brn A5 "Belgium" Sweet Sixteen's are to me, that are in Good or better condition are becoming harder to find.
