Description:
Here we present a vintage Persian Mauser M98/29 chambered in 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser) with all matching Farsi serial numbers on the receiver, bolt handle, and stock. The rifle shows very little signs of use and is in overall Very Good to Excellent Condition, retaining much of the original finish. The stock is in great shape as well with just a few very light dings/abrasions in the wood, which is to be expected on a rifle of this age. The 29-1/2" barrel has a very good bore with strong rifling and no signs of pitting or rust. All of the original proofs and markings remain crisp and clear and there are NO IMPORT MARKS. This rifle is also equipped with a vintage leather sling and comes with a 12" bayonet marked "tgf" on the bottom of the handle. The bayonet is in excellent condition and slides on and off very smoothly. The action on this rifle is incredibly smooth and everything functions as it should. This is a fine example of Persian military history that would make a great addition to any firearm collection. Feel free to call or text with any questions or for more pictures.
