Description:
A good Parker Bros VH 20 gauge, built post-1934. The barrels are 26" with 2 3/4" chambers and excellent bores, choked .011/.021 (about improved cylinder/improved modified.) The barrel bluing is in good condition. The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The receiver has strong case colors. The wood is lightly figured and is in very good conditon, with a chip missing above the triggers on the right side (see photo #15). The stock has been shortened, and now measures 13 1/8" incluing pad and spacer. (11 3/4" to the end of the wood.) The drop at comb is 1 5/8" and the drop at heel is 2 1/2". The cast is neutral. There is a vacant initial shield on the bottom of the butt-stock. The weight is 6 lbs 3 oz. A nice little Parker.
