Before there was a whole HUGE CRAZE for compact handguns, there was the S&W "Lady Smith" beginning in 1902. From early on, the folks over at Smith & Wesson knew there was a market for a smaller, more manageable handgun. Typically, this has taken the form of a smaller revolver, but in 1990....way ahead of their time, Smith & Wesson decided to start expanding the Lady Smith line into a compact automatic. This little 9mm retailed at the time for $900, believe it or not...but there was not the compact options on the market that there is today. Chambered in the classic 9mm, this little pistol sports a smooth, comfortable shooting experience....with 8 rounds loaded! Folks say they can reliably achieve a 1.5-2" group at 25 feet.....perfect for self defense. Utilizing a 3.5" barrel, aluminum allow frame and a rare de-cocker, we think she'll quickly become a favorite shooter....all with the quality and reliability of a Smith & Wesson pistol!
