Description:
***   SOLD   ***   Handsome Dickson & Son 16 bore Anson & Deeley boxlock non-ejector upland double made between the wars circa 1931. Sharp engraving, residual case coloring, and great handling characteristics. Presented in its leather case. Weighs 5lb 12oz making it an easy upland double to carry for a day afield.

The 28” nitro steel barrels were reproved for (70mm)2-3/4” shotshells in London in 2004. Topped by a raised solid concave gamestyle rib which is inscribed “Dickson & Son, Edinburgh”. Good bluing, shiny bores, and silver front bead. The right barrel is bored 0.678 with a constriction of 004 for Skeet choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.026. The left barrel is bored 0.675 and has a constriction of 0.012 for a Light Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.025.

The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. Hand rubbed oil finish with a few handling marks that can be easily repaired. The stock has a professionally finished stock extension with a checkered butt. It is much more visible in the photos than it is in normal lighting. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” by 1-1/2” by 2”. Cast off for the right handed shooter.

Great handling 16 bore upland double. A lethal weapon in the hands of an experienced upland gunner. Nice gun from a great maker. Don’t let it get away.

NOTE: The photographs are part of the description. I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection which begins when the firearm arrives at the FFL. Returns at buyer’s expense.
