Markings: US Springfield on the lock plate SWP inspector mark on the stock, VP over eagle on the barrel, the letters P & R also on the barrel, U on both barrel bands, US on the top of the butt plate, as well as a K and a P in a circle behind the trigger guard.
Features: Trapdoor breech loading action, full length military style straight grip stock, sling loops, two barrel bands, ramrod, and curved metal butt plate.
