Correctly called an American Long Rifle, but could also be called a Pennsylvania or Kentucky long rifle depending where they were made. This one has a G.Goulcher lock which was made in NY City in the early 1800s So it was quite likely made in New York or Pennsylvania by an unknown gunmaker. There are no other markings anywhere but the lock plate. Brass buttplate, and triggerguard. German silver? foreend cap and pin plates. Ramrod looks like a newer replacement. Adjustable double set trigger works as it should (cannot be fired without setting the trigger) , there is no half cock (never was on this lock). Barrel is 39", 54" overall. About 36 Cal. Sights and everything else are original, nice curly maple half stock. Beautiful example of early American gun making. $75.00 shipping in hard case. Money order preferred.
