.36 Caliber Rifle with Striped Maple Stock
Here we present “R.O.” Signed Full Stock Poor Boy Flintlock Long Rifle, made circa the mid to late-20th Century. These rifles were known as Poor Boys due to their simplicity and the absence of some of the niceties of guns made in such places as Pennsylvania where resources were more plentiful. Things like butt plates, patch boxes and sometimes even trigger guards were optional.
The overall condition is very good. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is clean with sharp rifling. The stock shows use and is solid throughout. There is a brazed repair to the front trigger guard bow.
This is a Contemporary Rifle classified as Antique.
