For Sale is a very nice 1904-1905 W. W. Greener double, Facile Princepts serial number 52630.
12 gauge 1F16 model, extractor, Whitworth Steel, 30” nitro proof barrels with excellent mirror bores.
2 1/2 inch chambers. Barrels flats marked Nitro Proof, 1 1/4 oz Nitro Proofed, Spec.Steel Barrels.
Greener side safety functions as should. Rib marked as “W W Greener Maker, 68 Haymarket London
Works St. Mary’s Square Birmingham". The tang is marked F30. LOP 14 1/2, DAH 2 3/4, DAC 1/5/8.
Lock up is very tight and gun is on face. The stock and foreend are really nice with figured wood.
Checkered butt stock. Deeley foreend release. Weight is 6lb. 8oz.. Slight cast off 1/4" if any.
The Greener was moderarely priced when made and sold in London at the time. The steel barrels have
gone to a slight plum color over time and are attractive and refect the age of the Greener. The stock and
forearm are made from Juglans Regia or English Walnut, noted for dark color and grain veins.
As a side note: I have been collecting Greener shotguns for some time and have the privilege of being able to contact Graham Greener regarding the ones I have collected. This was the same with 52630, and I will add the comments below that Graham returned to me regarding questions on this one, after sending him a email.
