SHILOH SHARPS , BIG TIMBER, MONTANA MADE MODEL 1874 LONG RANGE EXPRESS, .45-70. This is an interesting early Montana rifle with serial number 6XXX that was made in the 1980s. It has the "OLD RELIABLE" and "C. SHARPS" barrel marking that was later omitted as well as the SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO., BIG TIMBER, MONTANA receiver marking. It has a 34" standard octagon barrel with no rear sight dovetail and is fitted with a sporting tang sight adjustable for elevation and a globe front sight with pinhead. Walnut is extra fancy and there is an accent line on the cheek piece along with double set triggers, "Sharps Old Reliable" embossed hard rubber shotgun butt plate and pistol grip. Weighs approx 11 1/4 lbs. All in about new, unfired condition. Current catalog price on one set up like this would be about $3800. My price $3250.
