Remington 700 .308 Win
M40 Sniper Rifle Clone
The parts are as follows:
- Remington 700 short action receiver SN 621xxxx with “US” stamp. Action has been machined with clip slot, thumb relief and front slot.
- M40 reproduction stock worked to original specs and finished in linseed oil
- Period correct short shroud bolt with black finish
- Walker trigger with tombstone safety
- Remington aluminum butt plate with 16601 markings
- 1 1/4” witchita sling studs, non-detachable
- barrel is Remington .308 in Varmint contour manufactured in 1967
- Badger ordinance scope base manufactured to 40x specs
- Rings are Redfield 1” low profile marked either 1-66
- Scope is a Redfield Accurange 3-9x40 with range finding tombstone reticle and serial number that begins with “f”. This is NOT an original scope but was manufactured at the same time as the originals. Only difference is that Redfield blued this scope instead of anodizing it green.
