Description:
This was the 'top of the line" for Weatherby rifles through 2010, and it comes with skip checkering, hand engraving on the barrel, receiver, scope mounts and scope rings. This beautiful bolt action rifle has a 9-lug bolt and was made in West Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn, established in year 1751---probably the second oldest gun maker in the world.? There is a jeweled bolt and follower, and the rifle has all matching serial numbers. The overall condition of this masterpiece is 99+% with gorgeous select woods, mother-of-pearl inlays on the stock and a factory original correct recoil pad.? There is a gold elephant on the hand engraved floor plate, and a elephant inlaid on the stock. The bore is bright and glossy and the factory original bluing is brilliant.?This is the finest example of a highly desirable piece for the serious Weatherby collector.
