Description:
This is an early 09-1909 marked Canadian Pattern 1908 Ross Mk I Bayonet. This example has the Canadian Broad Arrow mark and 2 W.N.S.F (West Nova Scotia Regt.) marking struck out. The 10 1/8" blade is in very good white condition with only light machine marks, age soiling, the guard has the rear facing extension on the muzzle ring with a .55"/14.2mm MRD of the type I rifles. The scales and pommel are excellent with crisp markings and fully functional. This was an early Mk1 that was later reshaped into the Mk 2 blade style.
