Manufactured Circa the Mid 19th Century
Here we present an antique T. Moose Marked Percussion Target Pistol, manufactured circa the mid-19th century likely in mainland Europe. This type of pistol was popular during the early to mid-1800s, in the early years of the United States, as well as Europe. Target pistols in this era would be known as a step above the average everyday pistol, with extra quality being put into the making of the firearm. They normally had a longer barrel, such as this one.
The overall condition is near fine. Strong action. The bore is in very good shape for its age and remains clear. Solid stock overall, with only a thing crack near the left side screw. Legible markings. Gary barrel patina.
