Description:
VERY FINE CONDITION 1895 IN .35 WCF CALIBER, #58XXX, MADE 1907. A particularly fine example with special order and desiravle shotgun butt, this one retains fine deep receiver blue with only normal edge wear and most of the blue loss to the lever. The magazine also retains fine blue on the sides with some dulling on the bottom only. Exc. blue on the bolt and some good thinning blue on the upper tang. The correct 24" barrel retains about all the blue and is fitted with the original buckhorn rear sight with a small Lyman blade/bead front sight in the original barrel boss. Exc. stock and forend. Has the correct ebony inlay in the forend tip schnable and the Winchester embossed hard rubber butt plate. Tight wood to metal fit. Exc. markings, exc. screw heads, tight action, strong safety half-cock on the hammer and exc. sharp bore. Great 117 year old 1895 in a powereful caliber.
