If you are looking at this, then you know Winchester - The Rifleman's Rifle, written about by Maddis and most recently Roger Rule in his definitive book on the Model 70. He focuses on the older models - pre-64's and others, but will tell you that the current Model 70 in the controlled round feed (CRF) action is likely the best version of Winchester due to consistency of modern machining practices.
All of that said to say - the Extreme Weather Stainless Steel version is nice and seriously functional.
This set up has the Bell & Carlson composite stock, with Pachmayr Decelerator pad, the MOA adjustable trigger, 3 position wing style safety, 22" hammer forged, sluted, target crowned barrel and the standard of the industry CRF action.
This rifle is lightly used. The bolt feeds and functions perfectly. No signs of abuse or abnormal wear. No stock scratches or gouges. The metal is 99% and shows a scope has been mounted (by me).
Overall, if you need a deer or aoudad or sheep rifle that can take the beating and take the weather, this may be what you are looking for.
