Description:
"NSN, made in 1864, .58 caliber, 40" round proofed barrel. Barrel and other metal parts are a dark brown/grey patina with smooth surface oxidation visible. Lock plate is marked with ""Eagle/ U.S.-E.ROBINSON/NEW YORK"". Rear of lock is marked ""1864"". Heavy pitting is noted at the bolster with wood loss noted. This means the musket was heavily used! Stock has expected nicks, dings and scratches from handling and usage wear. Action holds at half and full cock. A good example of a used civil war musket with that ""been there"" look.
