Description:
This Colt Lightning rifle was manufactured in Hartford Connecticut 139 years ago in the second year of production. It is a desirable configuration with a 20 in. barrel and a saddle ring. It may be worth a Colt Archives letter just to get a lead on its history.
This rifle has had all metal surfaces professionally restored recently. The history has been preserved by the minor handling marks and dings on the wood remain. There are no cracks or functional problems with the stock or forearm.
The bore shows sharp deep rifling but dark from the black powder loads used in the past. The gunsmith who did the restoration test fired the rifle and found no functional problems.
This is a handsome Colt rifle in a desirable configuration that will make a nice addition to most collections.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
