Description:
Here we present a vintage Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Training Rifle chambered in 6.5x50mm (6.5 JAP) with a 31-1/2" smooth bore barrel. THIS RIFLE IS FOR TRAINING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED TO FIRE LIVE AMMUNITION. Many of these training rifles were made from old, decommissioned rifles that were no longer fit for duty. This trainer looks, feels and functions like a regular Type 38, but it is only intended to fire blanks or paper cartridges. The rifle is in overall good condition and everything functions as it should. There are no import marks and no visible serial number. There is significant finish wear across the barrel and receiver with spots of dark gray patina throughout. The wood is in good shape as well with the expected light dings and mild abrasions consistent with the rifle's many years of service. There is also a chip in the bottom of the stock near the buttplate. Feel free to call or text with any questions or for more pictures.
