Description:
This is a C. Sharps Arms pistol grip, set trigger, action based rifle, custom built to resemble the original Sharps "first type" model 1877 long range rifle. Caliber is 45-90 (Cal 45, 2 4/10 inch) and is suitable for either grease groove or paper patch bullets. Action was color case hardened by Wyoming Armory and barrel was rust blued. Stock is highly figured California Walnut, hand rubbed Tung Oil finish, and hand checkered. Forarm has Ebony tip. Barrel is from Green Mountain Barrel Company. Barrel has MVA scope blocks installed and front sight is an MVA #113 Spirit Level. Rear tang sight base is installed and is believed to be for a Frank Zika Soule Sight. If the buyer desires, sight base can be removed for a $100 reduction in price of rifle.
