Features a 28 inch round barrel with an excellent bore. Gun features original sights with a blade front and a Lawrence rear. Barrel is marked "Old Reliable" and "Sharps Rifle Company Bridgeport Connecticut" and retains about 90% thinning blue. The case colored receiver is turning a silvery color. Double set triggers that function well. 161k serial range. Wood has a few old mars and dings but still rates excellent with most original varnish remaining. Steel rifle style buttplate.  Very attractive gun. There were only 1,604 Sharps Business Rifles made. Three calibers were standard. The "Business 40" had about 700 made.
