Description:
Duane Wiebe full custom built in 1973 and signed in the barrel channel with a 24" sightless Lilja barrel in 7mm Remington Magnum. Built on a 1961 Pre-64 Model 70 action with custom built up and checkered bolt release, four panel bolt knob checkering, and "worm tracks" on the bolt and extractor. Top tang pleasingly reconfigured. Topped with Talley Signature bases and 1" Talley rings. Stocked in American Classic style with a beautiful piece of blonde English Walnut with a magnificent 32 LPI Fleur de Lis and ribbon checkering pattern. Stock features include a shadow line cheekpiece, two screw inletted sling studs, and skeleton buttplate and pistol grip cap with checkered centers. Inletting is immaculate. LOP is 13 3/4" Weight 8lb 1oz with ring.
Mr. Wiebe of Spanaway, Wa. is a Charter Member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. He has had a long and outstanding career and remains active. This is an outstanding piece with a few very minor safe marks. Priced at less than half of replacement cost and without the wait.
