Description:
This circa late 1940s, early 1950s right-handed bolt action rifle is a FAB. NAT. D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL - BELGIQUE Deluxe Mauser chambered in .270 Cal. It has a hooded fixed beaded blade front sight, a rare Armstrong "Dual Range" adjustable rear peep sight, and a hard black plastic FN logo butt plate. The pistol grip stock checkering is finished with a pearl edge design adjacent to the black grip cap. The receiver ring is roll-engraved with the elaborate FN logo. The bottom of the round bolt handle is flat with a checkered pattern. The serial number on the bolt matches the receiver ring's and barrel's serial number [2283]. The left side of the barrel is marked "CHROME VANADIUM STEEL". The bluing is in generally very good condition, with some thinning at the muzzle. The wood is in very good condition with some very light handling marks throughout, but with no chips or cracks observable. .270 Winchester
