Description:
"Unable to see the serial number due to the bolt not working properly, circa 1859-1860's, .53 caliber, 35"" round barrel. Bore shows heavy oxidation with faint traces of rifling remaining. Metal is a dark patina with surface oxidation visible throughout the barrel, receiver and bolt. Traces of original blue still remains on the bolt in protected areas. Stock has expected nicks, dings scratches and gouges. The letter ""H"" is stamped on both sides of the butt stock. Under hammer action does function correctly, rear sling swivel and cleaning rod have been removed. One of 1500 made for the U.S.
