For your consideration, a Colt M191A1 chambered in .45 ACP. The frame bears the "G.H.D." cipher of Ordnance Inspector, Lt. Col. Guy H. Drewry. This piece dates to 1943. The forward 1/3 of the slide has the telltale coloration of spot heat treatment characteristic of mid-war guns. .45 ACP
