Description:
Serial #79L7189, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1944-dated Canadian rifle with matching numbered bolt and retains 97-98% of the original blue finish on the metal with only some trace silvering at the muzzle, on the high and exposed edges, as well as on a few of the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The walnut forend, handguards and buttstock are in fine-near excellent condition with only very minor handling marks and small surface blemishes scattered about the original varnish, and the "C (Broad Arrow)" and other wood markings are crisp and clear. A black-finished metal buttplate is fitted that has a small amount flaking around the edges. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable Mk. III sheet metal rear sight, an original "C (Broad Arrow)" marked canvas sling, and a single unmarked magazine is included. This is a splendid, war-dated Canadian No. 4 rifle, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R;
