This is one of the most sought after configured guns that Parker Brothers ever produced! The CHE grades features fine game scene engraving with a “Setter” on each side and a running stage on the bottom, surrounded by tasteful and finely executed scroll. 28” solid ribbed barrels choked IC/IC. Features include: double triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety, capped pistol grip, splinter forearm, skeleton butt and built on an “0” frame. This gun is exactly as it is listed on page 469 of the Parker Identification book! Original, unaltered 2 9/16" chamber Made in 1917 this neat, 5 lbs. 13 oz. Parker retains original finishes except that the barrels appear to have been professionally “re-blacked”. The is almost completely devoid of any original case colors and is now a nice grey patina. (Engraved Parkers tended to lose their colors quicker than the lower grade guns!). The wood finishes appear to be original and reflect over 100 years of use; the checkering is sharp; and the wood to metal fit is still excellent. The bores are perfect and the gun is tight and solid. 14” LOP over the skeleton butt with 1 ½” DAC and 2 7/16” DAH; very close to being perfectly neutral cast...about 1/8" cast at the heel for a right hand shooter.
