SN: M42663 (importer). Made in 1944 by Izhevsk Mechanical Plant with a 20.5-inch barrel chambered for the 7.62x54mmR cartridge. Although this M44 was built during WWII, its factory parts configuration was changed by a post-war rebuild & that is reflected by arsenal markings on the receiver & the magazine floorplate. Comes with a cleaning rod, Soviet military surplus ""dog collar"" sling & a folding cruciform spike bayonet. Overall excellent condition with a bright bore. Minimal storage wear is noted. Action is smooth & functions correctly.
