Description:
This 1952 lever action rifle is a Winchester® Model 94 chambered in .30-30 Winchester. It has a fixed blade front sight, a buckhorn style butterfly V-notch adjustable rear sight, a 20" round barrel, a side loading gate 5-round tubular magazine, a smooth curved trigger, a serrated hammer, and a flat steel butt plate. The bluing is in very good condition. The gun appears to have been taken good care of, it doesn't appear to have been reblued. The wood fore arm and butt stock are in very good condition, with some wearing of the finish where the hand would grip the stock. There is very light wear elsewhere and with no chips or cracks visible. The Model 94 Lever-Action Rifle is an American icon, recognized all over the world for its simple and reliable function. The Winchester® Model 94 possesses a long and noble history and is considered by many historians to be the ultimate lever-action design. The lightweight and fast handling Model 94 delivers reliable, rapid fire with cartridges powerful enough for deer, bear, and hogs. It also owns the distinction of selling more units than any other sporting rifle ever designed, at over seven million five hundred thousand rifles. Engineered by John Browning in 1894, this lever-action was first offered in .32-40 Win and .38-55 Win. In 1895 the Model 94 became the first rifle chambered for the smokeless-powder .30 WCF (Winchester Center Fire) cartridge. Later the .30 WCF name morphed into the .30-30 Winchester, though some rifles are still given the traditional .30 WCF label. .30-30 Winchester
