Description:
A very fine example of Pre-WWII custom rifle making by one of the most respected gunmakers. The rifle is extensively engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath and shows as good as the day it was completed. All case colors are bright and well defined. Note the spectacular master engraving on the entire action, safety selector, buttplate, floorplate, bolt, trigger guard and barrel. The bore and chamber are in superb condition. The wood is in overall very fine condition with only a few slight gun-cabinet dings, none of which penetrate the finish. Checkering is in excellent condition with still sharp diamonds. The scope is a Lyman Alaskan in fine outside condition and clear optics. Perhaps, most importantly, the rifle bears the R.G. Owen maker's markings in two places - first atop the receiver ring and second on the front hinge of the floorplate. There is no serial number visible. S&H $75.00 will apply.
