This rare Light Deluxe (engraved, and features Buffalo horn accoutrements) is Rigby's best quality magazine rifle. While .30-06 is quite common in most rifle maker lines, for Rigby it is unusual. This one features a 24" barrel with island rear express sight with two leaves (1 standing and 1 folding), Rigby's short front ramp with 6.5mm silver bead and folding sight cover, and barrel front sling eye. The action is a 98 Waffenfabrik Mauser-Oberndorf Commercial action. The barrel and stock have the correct Rigby serial number. Its steel one-piece hinged straddle floorplate with a center-bow release, and trigger guard are profusely engraved with the Rigby scroll pattern and inscribed with gold-filled letters: Rigby .30-06.
