"SN 138421 Made in 1863. 44 caliber with an *’ barrel. Gun is nickel plated with rear dove-tail sight. This gun has a 6-shot round long cylinder. Left side of frame marked Colt’s Patent. No loading gate present. 1-pc walnut grips. Brass front strap with iron backstrap that is non matching. Holster is black leather, unmarked with leather stitching and appears coarse overall. This revolver is pictured in “Colt Conversions" by McDowell on page 407.
