Description:
Manufactured in 1903 this rifle has a polished blued 26" octagon with Winchester proofed barrel chambered in .32-40 with full-length magazine tube and 2-line barrel address. Dovetail blade front sight and sporting rear. Blued solid receiver with case-hardened hammer and lever. Standard 2-piece American walnut stock with blued steel nose cap and solid crescent rifle butt plate.
CONDITION: The rifle is very fine. It features a great amounts of factory blue which are retained throughout the rifle with some light high edge silvering and toning. There are some areas that exhibit cleaned oxidation which is present on the right side of the receiver. Loading gate retains 85% bright nitre blue. There are significant portions of strong case colors retained on the lever and hammer, some areas are fading to patina. Stocks are fine with some scattered marks. Very fine bright bore displaying well-defined rifling. Mechanically fine with an excellent lock up and safety.
