Description:
This is a seldom seen Ballard with a heavy 32" target barrel in caliber 38-55. The barrel measures 1" at the muzzle. It also has a non-rebated receiver. The buttstock is original but has been fitted with a LARGE nickle plated swiss style hook buttplate suitable for a large person. Bore is perfect. Stock has a proper repair to the top pf the pistol grip. I think the Double set triggers were professionally added after the rifle left the factory. I have never seen any like this. They work perfectly. SN is 22557. Original front sight. Has a filled dove tail cut in the octagon section of the barrel (see photos). The barrel was rust blued.
