Designed for use by West German Law enforcement in 1977, the Sig Sauer P230 was chambered in .380 auto as part of a design requirement specifying the need for greater energy transfer and power on target compared to previous issued firearms that had been chambered in .32 ACP. The P230 would ultimately not be selected for adoption by West German law enforcement in favor of handguns chambered in 9 parabellum.
Imported to the United States from West Germany, this example is new in box. Comes with two 8 round magazines.
