Walnut stock with original and rare “SEA DOG” head carved butt for which this model is known and often referred to as the “SEA DOG PISTOL”. Excellent all original down to the last screw. Has all the original lock parts and has a very nice look overall with little wear and the original patina. Type used by French Naval Officers during the American Revolution and by American Naval Officer’s serving on ships such as the Bonhomme Richard, a French ship loaned to the United States and commanded by John Paul Jones.
