Description: This is a German made Swiss sword the measures 38 1/4" overall, with a 31 3/4" curved, single-edged-blade having one fullers and unsharpened to the tip. The steel has and overall silver gray patina with a few scattered spots of plum-brown freckling on both faces of the blade. The ricasso is marked "WESTER & CO.", Swiss Cross. with "EISENHAUER". The hilt has a plain steel guard with two vertical slats, Swiss Cross and dove head pommel with thumbprint backstrap. The Ray grip is in very good condition and exhibits minor surface wear. The steel scabbard is in very good condition with some scattered areas of mild surface oxidation, and minor scratches along it's length. The sword rate very good-fine condition over-all. SOLD |
