Synopsis: Mauser, P08, 1940 Dated, 42 code, German Military Luger, 2344i, FB00759 Description: Mauser Luger, 1940 chamber date, 42 code with plastic grips. SN: 2344i. Cal: 9mmP. Standard configuration military Luger with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed “V” notch rear sight. 1940 chamber date, front toggle link marked with 42 code. Full serial number with letter suffix on front of frame with the serial number repeated on left side of receiver. Usual Waffenamt acceptances on right side of receiver. Fitted with brown plastic grips as commonly appear on Krieghoff pistols and an extruded FXO magazine. Disassembly shows all small parts matching except the unnumbered grips and magazine whose plug markings have been removed. Condition: Approximately 99% blue as professionally restored. EXC original grips. Magazine body re-dipped, plug markings removed. Bright bore, lightly etched, easily discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
