This is a real nice Weatherby Varmintmaster 22-250 with the scarce and desireable 26 inch barrel. These are the best of weatherby design and manufacturing, being only one of 2 cartridges ever made in a Weatherby Mark V action. This Mark V action has 6 locking lugs, insted of 9 as it is scaled down to the size of the 22-250 cartridge and not a large action with the larger bolt like many other rifle manufacturers made. They were only made a few years and finding a good one is rare. This is near mint with no marks in the wood and what looks like a thumbprint on the barrel, but not through the bluing. It certainly hasn't been fired much at all. Do yourself a favor and get the 26 inch barrel and get all the advantage of the longer barrel for higher velocity. This is also an investment gun that will do nothing but increase in value whether you shoot it or not...$2499.00
