Here's a Fine Example of a Late Civil War issued Henry Rifle! The Cost of this Rifle in 1865 was $52.50 . That was a ton of money back then . That was 4 months pay for most folks back then . Serial number 9578. Being the First Re
peating Rifle in The Civil War and holding 16 shots made this the Holy Grail of the Civil War! May be one of the 500 shipped to Washington D.C. on April 7, 1865. The information I found is vague and not consistent. I added a page out of one of the Henry Books showing this 1865 shipment . By 1865 The White House was our top priority! So security there was Heavy ! Gun comes with a correct Henry leather Sling. Also comes with a original Kitredge Copper ammo box and a Winchester Bore Mirror for the 44 cartridge chamber! Gun is 100 percent Original and in Un-touched original condition. Barrel has most all of its original solid blue finish thinning to around 80% . Gun has its original sights . Frame is a Awsome Mellow Patina . Wood is original and un-touched! Walnut Stock is in excellent condition. Wood still has the original bumb in rear stock under sling swivel. Also stock has original Winchester cleaning rods in butt ! One of the Best Original Condition Henry Rifles on the Market Today ! Collector Quality.
